House Committee on Higher and Technical Education approved House Bill No. 9321 or President Ramon Magsaysay State University College of Medicine Bill on third reading on June 2.
Committee on Higher and Technical Education, spearheaded by Hon. Mark O. Go, set agendas last Wednesday on a Zoom meeting via Facebook live concerning Substitute Bills to HBs 2737, 3237, 8437, 8514, and 8545.
One of their agendas is the approval of PRMSU College of Medicine Bill which was filed last May 11 and proposed by Hon. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla.
House Bill No. 9321 seeks to establish a College of Medicine in President Ramon Magsaysay State University-main campus in Iba, Zambales.
Its goal is to cater quality education for medicine in Zambales and to be known as the PRMSU College of Medicine and appropriating funds therefor.
House Bill No. 9303 was also approved last May 25 on third reading by the House of Representatives which is “an act converting the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital (PRMMH) in Iba, Zambales into a Tertiary Hospital to be known as the Ramon Magsaysay Regional Medical Center, and appropriating funds therefor”.
Zambaleños commended Hon. Cheryl Deloso-Montalla in the social media for passing these House Bills for the continuous practice of Medicine in Zambales. SYNC IN
